Job Title: Senior QA Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with deep expertise in test automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript), Rest Assured (Java-based), and modern QA practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for UI testing (Playwright, Selenium) and API testing (Rest Assured and related tools).
  • Create and execute automated test suites for RESTful APIs, validating request/response payloads, headers, status codes, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to gather requirements, define test scenarios, and deliver high-quality test coverage.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data for both automated and manual testing.
  • Perform end-to-end testing including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
  • Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and log/report bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Generate and present test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Continuously enhance test automation frameworks, QA best practices, and processes to improve overall efficiency.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in QA automation and software testing.
  • Proven hands-on expertise in:
  • Playwright (TypeScript) – mandatory
  • Rest Assured (Java-based) for API automation
  • Postman or equivalent tools for manual API testing
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
  • Experience with test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Proficient in Git-based version control and branching strategies.
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
