DescriptionKPMG Global Services (KGS) is currently seeking an Instructional Designer for the KPMG Business School Tax practice, which caters to the learning needs of KPMG US Tax professionals. The focus of the team is to create innovative digital learning assets for internal KPMG Tax clients.The individual will create best in class instructional material and design and develop engaging learning course content to support the KPMG US tax learning requirements. The individual should be prepared to work in a dynamic environment with changing requirements and frequent interactions with on-site engagement teams and clients.The individual will need knowledge and skills in Instructional Design, Learning Content Development, and the related technologies.As an Instructional Designer, the individual will support the delivery of learning projects addressing specific business needs. This includes liaising with Subject Matter Experts to gain an understanding of the subject, development of ID assets, and support for the development of end user learning materials.ResponsibilitiesDesigns and develops high quality learning deliverables (digital and print) aligning with business specifications within an allocated timeframe, using the most appropriate design and development principlesDesigns learning content adhering to the agreed, consistent processes and methodologies, whilst avoiding the replication and duplication of effort Creates original ID assets such as design documents, storyboards, and scripts using the source content providedIdentifies and recommends instructional media that facilitates the understanding of the content for learnersSupports the creation of visually engaging and brand-compliant graphics Reviews/Edits existing content as part of post-course evaluation, and provides recommendations to change specific content so that the required learning outcomes and objectives are achievedEnhances existing documentation/learning materials to align with the changing business needsTakes complete ownership for the standalone deliverables, managing relationship with the SME and the onshore/offshore team, that significantly contributes to the overall success of the project  Establishes clear channels of communication with clients and stakeholdersSeeks regular feedback and incorporates them to improve performance as appropriate.QualificationsExperience of developing digital courses through a complete instructional systems design (ISD) lifecycle and designing learning materials in several formats and styles, according to audience requirementsAn understanding of applications of learning theories, instructional design strategies, and learning styles to meet the learning objectivesAn advanced-level proficiency in written and spoken English An advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience of using software for screen recording & editing (Camtasia), web content/video authoring (Articulate Storyline/Adobe Captivate/Vyond), and ILT deck creationA thorough understanding of the need for project standards and experience of adhering to different standards for written and visual contentExcellent communication skillsExperience of managing a range of stakeholders that exhibits a sound understanding of the stakeholder management processStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others collaboratively
