Role Overview

As the Digital PR Specialist, you will lead efforts to secure high-value press mentions, backlinks, and media partnerships by implementing creative, data-driven, and impactful PR campaigns. You will collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling narratives, build relationships with influential journalists, and position Wiingy as a leader in online education.


Location: Work from office, HSR, Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Execute PR Campaigns

  • Create and promote compelling reports, surveys, and studies that highlight key trends in education and tutoring.
  • Plan and execute PR campaigns tied to educational events, trends, and seasonal needs (e.g., SAT prep, back-to-school).

Data-Driven Storytelling

  • Leverage Wiingy’s platform data to generate unique insights and reports that resonate with journalists and target audiences.
  • Identify emerging trends and align campaigns with topics that lack comprehensive data in the market.

Content Creation and Strategy

  • Produce press releases, media kits, and data-driven content assets that position Wiingy as a thought leader in online tutoring.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to turn Wiingy’s data into actionable insights and newsworthy stories.

Backlink and SEO Strategy

  • Secure high-quality backlinks from reputable news outlets and blogs to improve domain authority and organic search rankings.
  • Create content assets that are easily shareable and cite-worthy to attract backlinks from authoritative sources.

Media Outreach

  • Build and nurture relationships with U.S.-based journalists, bloggers, and influencers in education, parenting, and EdTech sectors.
  • Develop personalized pitches and press releases to secure features in tier-1 and niche publications like Forbes, TechCrunch, and EdSurge.

Performance Analysis

  • Track key PR metrics such as media mentions, backlinks, referral traffic, and domain authority improvement.
  • Regularly report on campaign outcomes and refine strategies based on data insights.
Requirements


Experience:

  • 2+ years in digital PR, media relations, or a similar role, with proven success in securing media coverage.
  • Experience creating and promoting data-driven reports, surveys, or curated content for media attention.

Skills:

  • Deep Research & analytical skills
  • Exceptional writing, pitching, and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, link-building strategies, and Google’s TrustRank principles.
  • Ability to analyze and present data insights effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with PR tools like HARO, MuckRack, and Ahrefs.
  • Experience working with data-driven PR campaigns or creating media assets like industry surveys and curated reports.
  • Background in EdTech, education, or consumer-facing industries is a plus.
