Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails (ROR) Developer with 4+ years of experience to join a newly formed startup. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Rails 7 and be familiar with Hotwire and Stimulus. As part of a small team, you will be responsible for leading development efforts, providing strategic advice, and helping shape the technical direction of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development of web applications using Ruby on Rails 7.
• Implement interactive, real-time features using Hotwire and Stimulus.
• Provide technical guidance and advice to the client and a small team of developers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the applications.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall growth of the team.
• Assist in decision-making processes regarding technology and architecture.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Strong experience with Rails 7.
• Familiarity with Hotwire and Stimulus for building modern, real-time applications.
• Ability to lead projects, provide direction, and collaborate with a small team.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience in working with startups or small teams.
• Knowledge of DevOps and deployment processes.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML).
