Senior System Monitoring Expert

Job DescriptionAs a seasoned system administrator, you will be responsible for leading our monitoring efforts with IBM OMEGAMON. This role involves solving complex problems and identifying potential future issues across various platforms and services.Our team works at the forefront of new technology and modernization, collaborating with some of the world's biggest clients. This means every day is different, and no two projects are alike.You will manage systems data for clients and provide day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You will oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.Key responsibilities include:Installing, configuring, and maintaining the IBM OMEGAMON suite.Developing and maintaining monitoring dashboards, alerts, thresholds, and custom views.Troubleshooting and resolving OMEGAMON-related issues, ensuring minimal system impact and downtime.Collaborating with application, database, network, and system administration teams to define monitoring requirements and integrate solutions.Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should have:At least 5 years of experience with IBM mainframe systems and monitoring tools.Hands-on experience with OMEGAMON in z/OS environments.A strong understanding of mainframe systems architecture, including JES2, SDSF, SMF, RMF, WLM, CICS, DB2, and MQ.BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
