Job Title: Group Head Fabrication
Location: Pune
Division – Enviro
Experience – 12-15 yrs
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end fabrication activities across multiple units.
- Develop and implement fabrication strategies aligned with production plans and customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and timely project completion.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, planning, and quality departments for seamless execution.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs (productivity, utilization, rejection rates, etc.).
- Drive process improvements, automation, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Plan manpower, machine loading, and material availability effectively.
- Identify skill gaps and mentor the fabrication team for performance enhancement.
- Maintain documentation, reports, and ensure audit readiness.
- Manage subcontracting activities and vendor performance, if applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in structural, pressure vessel, or equipment fabrication (as relevant).
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, codes, and standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, fabrication software/tools, and production planning systems.
