About UsWe are an investment firm focused on the Indian equity market. Our founding partners have several years of experience in public equities and venture capital.Prior to joining us, our managing partner worked at two renowned hedge funds in New York as an Investment Analyst from 2005 until 2012.Our strategy is rooted in fundamental research and investment decisions are based on a medium to long term outlook on the stock and the sector that it operates in. We seek mis-understood situations and abnormal stock movements, then conduct in-depth valuation on what is priced in and how that is likely to change.Job Description:The candidate will be responsible for financial modelling, financial analysis, and forming an investment thesis on the sector they will work on.The candidate will be responsible for tracking down and analyzing every industry/company data point available in the public domain.The candidate will make presentations and present convincing ideas to the team.The candidate will also be entrusted with administrative responsibilities shared by all team members.Key Skills and Requirements:A keen interest in capital markets.The ability to fully understand businesses and the sectors in which they operate.Strong skills in financial modelling, analyzing income statements-balance sheet-cash flows, and valuing companies.Prior experience building operating and financial models of companies and industries.Familiarity with the basic principles of equity valuation.Exceptional skills in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.An attention to detail is essential.The candidate must have 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably sell-side or buy-side experience.
