Design Manager RoleThe Design Manager position is responsible for overseeing the entire design and creative output process. This individual will ensure that all design deliverables are aligned with client expectations and completed within stipulated timelines.Main Responsibilities:Plan layouts and conceptualize interior designs for commercial and residential spaces.Manage a team of interior designers and 3D visualizers to create drawings and designs based on client requirements and budget constraints.Understand client needs, engage with clients, and handle projects from start to finish, coordinating with internal procurement and site execution teams for smooth project execution.Select material finishes for approval by clients.Create various project schedules, including furniture, general, and decorative light fixtures, carpets, etc.Coordinate with graphic designers for creating wallpaper designs and other graphic elements based on client feedback.Knowledge of working drawings/technical drawings and coordination of same at site for execution.Requirements:4+ years of experience in designing corporate and residential spaces, with knowledge of interior elements and building structures.Strong design sense.Familiarity with design codes followed in different states of the USA.Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize daily, weekly, and long-term goals.Track record of delivering high-quality designs and leading teams on high-profile projects.Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal presentation skills, and ability to communicate design concepts to clients.Process-oriented approach with an ability to motivate team members.Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.Comprehensive knowledge of materials, costing, GFC details.Understanding of client engagement and technical drawings.Multi-tasking ability.Benefits:Drafting skills proficiency in Autocad.Quantity assessment skills using MS Excel.Proficiency in Photoshop, Sketchup, or 3DS-Max.Ability to conceptualize designs and write about them.Project pitch presentation skills.Attention to detail.Team management skills.Additional Information:Exposure to drafting skills, quantity assessment, and proficiency in software such as Autocad, MS Excel, Photoshop, Sketchup, and 3DS-Max.
