Job Description Job Title : Lead Project Manager Location: Hyderabad Work Mode: Semi Hybrid Mode (4days work from office) and (1 day work from home(either Monday or Wednesday or Friday)) in a week ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT Reports directly to: E-commerce Program Manager Span of control: The Lead Project Manager oversees a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering digital and technical projects within the Commercial Department (Marketing, Content, B2B, Sales Channels, and Customer Service). The role ensures coordinated planning, execution, and evaluation of multiple e-commerce projects, maintaining alignment with business priorities and technology standards. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Lead Project Manager drives the successful delivery of complex e-commerce initiatives by managing multiple projects and mentoring project managers. This role ensures that all projects are executed within scope, budget, and timeline while maintaining high quality and stakeholder satisfaction. Acting as the bridge between business and technology, the Lead Project Manager promotes best practices, enables team growth, and fosters a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the e-commerce project portfolio. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES – What you will do Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure effective delivery and professional growth. Manage a portfolio of complex, cross-departmental e-commerce projects (e.g., Webshop, Product Content, Sales Channels, Customer Experience, and Order Processing). Oversee project initiation, planning, execution, and evaluation — ensuring alignment with business goals and technical strategy. Support Project Managers in defining scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans; ensure dependencies are identified and managed across teams. Ensure clear communication and alignment between internal stakeholders (Product Owners, Development, Operations, Commercial teams) and external partners. Own portfolio-level risk management: identify key risks across projects and lead mitigation and escalation strategies. Monitor overall portfolio performance and project health, providing visibility through reporting on milestones, KPIs, and delivery metrics. Guard project quality and compliance with delivery standards, ensuring consistent documentation, governance, and methodology use (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall as applicable). Manage the consolidated project budget, tracking resource utilization and optimizing cost efficiency across the portfolio. Act as escalation point for project managers and stakeholders, supporting conflict resolution and decision-making when priorities compete. Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the project management discipline; evaluate lessons learned and evolve processes, tools, and governance structures. Collaborate with the Program Manager to translate strategic business priorities into executable initiatives and contribute to long-term portfolio planning. Support innovation by identifying emerging opportunities, preparing business cases, and framing new initiatives for approval and handover into delivery. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, E-commerce, IT Management, or a related field. 8–12 years of experience in project and program management within digital or e-commerce environments. Proven track record in successfully managing large-scale, complex, multi-stakeholder projects and leading cross-functional teams. Experience leading or mentoring project managers and coordinating multiple concurrent projects. Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, integrations, and technology ecosystems (e.g. SFCC, SFMC, SAP, MuleSoft, PIM, ESB, Couchbase, Zendesk). Strong knowledge of Agile and traditional project management methodologies; certification in Agile (Foundation & Practitioner) and/or PMP is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage significant project budgets and resources efficiently. SKILLS – The tools and abilities you bring Advanced project and portfolio management skills. Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a collaborative and empowering management style. Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent). Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities, with a focus on actionable insights. Financial acumen and experience with multi-project budget control. Skilled in negotiation, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment across departments and regions. Passion for driving delivery excellence and innovation in digital commerce environments.
