Job Title: Billing EngineerDepartment: Civil ExecutionLocation: Bidadi industrial area, Bangalore, KarnatakaEmployment Type: Full-timeNo. of Vacancy: 1Perks: Bachelor Accommodation provided by company and lunch meal provided at project site.Job SummaryThe Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing project bills related to civil construction works. The role involves quantity measurement, rate analysis, preparation of RA bills, final bills, and coordination with site, planning, and accounts teams to ensure accurate and timely billing as per contract terms.Key Responsibilities:Billing & MeasurementPrepare Running Account (RA) bills, interim bills, and final bills as per contract BOQ and drawingsRecord and verify site measurements jointly with client/consultant representativesMaintain Measurement Books (MBs) and ensure accuracy of quantities executedPrepare client bills and subcontractor billsContract & Cost ControlStudy tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and contract conditionsCarry out rate analysis for extra items and non-BOQ worksTrack variations, deviations, and change ordersSupport preparation of claims, escalation, and reconciliation statementsCoordination & DocumentationCoordinate with site engineers, planning team, QA/QC, and accounts departmentEnsure timely submission and follow-up of bills for certification and paymentMaintain proper billing records, abstracts, and billing summariesAssist in audits and client reviews related to billing and quantitiesReportingPrepare monthly billing status, certified vs. submitted statementsTrack pending bills, deductions, and recoveriesSupport project cost and cash flow analysisQualificationsBachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil EngineeringExperience4- 5 years of relevant experience in billing for civil construction projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, infrastructure, or industrial projects.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of BOQ, measurement standards, and billing proceduresProficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and billing software (if applicable)Good understanding of contract conditions (FIDIC/General Conditions preferred)Analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organizedEffective communication and coordination skillsPreferred AttributesExperience working with clients, consultants, and government authoritiesKnowledge of GST implications on construction billingAbility to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
