Senior Automation Engineer Job DescriptionAs a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing high-quality automated tests that meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise will be invaluable in creating test specifications, suites, and cases using Jira.You will work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration and collaboration. Daily stand-ups, demos, and planning sessions will keep you connected with the team and informed about project progress.Defining Test Specifications: Develop test specifications, suites, and cases using Jira to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.Utilizing Automated Tools: Leverage automated tools throughout various test stages to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Test Approaches: Possess a solid understanding of test approaches for End-2-End (UI), APIs, Integration, and Non-functional aspects of the system.Frontend and Backend Testing: Conduct thorough testing of both frontend and backend systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.Quality Support: Produce test evidence, testing reports, and associated artefacts to support quality assurance.Process Improvement: Suggest improvements and techniques to enhance product and overall development and testing process.Required Skills and ExperienceExcellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent English communication skills to facilitate daily interaction with UK clients.Automation Test Development: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases using Cypress with TypeScript to validate UI and API functionality.Operating System Knowledge: Have experience with Windows and Linux Systems.Database Understanding: Understand databases and test data creation.Test Tools Proficiency: Have hands-on experience with a wide range of test tools including Postman, JIRA, GIT, Jenkins.Continual Improvement: Embody a continual improvement approach to all test activities.Monitoring and Logging: Possess knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Kibana and ELK.
