Role Summary:We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Civil Engineer at the Manager level to join our Workplace Management team under HR at Airtel Center. This role is ideal for professionals from the PMC industry with a proven track record in corporate interiors, large building repairs, office fit-outs, and workplace transformation. The individual will play a central role in managing end-to-end project lifecycles – from property acquisition to final office handover – while driving design innovation, ensuring compliance, and enabling strategic workplace planning across Airtel offices.Key Responsibilities:Project Lifecycle Management:Lead and manage civil and Workplace expansion/Rehaul projects for new and existing office spaces from inception to completion.Develop, maintain, and track project timelines using Gantt charts and other planning tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including real estate, legal, IT, admin, and finance from property acquisition to project handover.Design & Standards Development:Contribute to and refine workplace design guidelines to ensure scalability, efficiency, and future-readiness.Work closely with designers and consultants to translate business needs into innovative, compliant design solutions.Working on layouts and drawings using AutoCAD with architects and support presentations with MS PowerPoint and Excel.Technical Expertise & Compliance:Conduct thorough technical evaluations of properties, including structural and seismic stability assessments.Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and property legalities.Coordinate with third-party consultants to validate property compliance documentation.Vendor & Stakeholder Management:Benchmark practices across various Workplace expansion/Rehaul projects.Drive quality and cost-effectiveness in process.Engage and influence internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure project success.Support to Circles & SME Role:Act as the SME for civil and Workplace expansion across all Airtel offices.Provide technical support and guidance to circle teams, ensuring adherence to central design and execution standards.Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of corporate interior fit-outs and large building maintenance.Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project, Excel Gantt charts, etc.).Technical expertise in AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, and layout planning.In-depth knowledge of property compliance norms, including structural and seismic standards.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Passion for space planning and workplace innovation.Analytical mindset with strong market benchmarking abilities.Educational Qualification:B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory).Preferred Industry Background:Project Management Consultancy (PMC) firms with exposure to corporate clients and large-scale fit-out projects.Why Join Us?Join Airtel's HR Workplace Management team and be at the forefront of shaping the future of workspaces for one of India’s leading telecom companies.
