Bioinformatics Research Scientist Job OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled computational biologist to join our bioinformatics team. As a Bioinformatics Research Scientist, you will play a key role in the analysis and interpretation of large-scale biological data.The successful candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field, with expertise in omics data analysis and downstream systemic interpretation. You will be responsible for developing novel pipelines to optimize omics analysis implementation for various projects, including genomics data analysis, drug repurposing, biomarker identification, patient stratification, disease modeling, and data integration.Key responsibilities include:Developing and implementing advanced algorithms and software tools for omics data analysisCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design and execute research projectsAnalyzing and interpreting large-scale biological data sets to identify trends and patternsPresenting results and scientific hypotheses to internal and external stakeholdersRequirements:Master's degree with 3 years of industrial experience in bioinformatics, computer science, or a related fieldStrong background in population genomics, including GWAS, eQTL/pQTL analyses, WES/WGS sequencing data analyses, and statistical analyses of rare and common variantsExpertise in one or more programming/scripting languages such as R, Python, shell-script for complex data analysisExperience with Docker and NextflowFamiliarity with machine learning is an added advantagePreferred qualifications include:Experience with Linux environment or cloud computing (AWS/GCP)Experience with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or OracleExperience with version control systems such as GitHubThis is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the advancement of bioinformatics research.
