Cloud Data ArchitectJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Data Architect to design and implement robust data solutions on Microsoft Azure.This role requires a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies, particularly in data engineering, analytics, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL databases, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Power BI.They will be responsible for creating modern data pipelines and models that power business analytics and reporting, while ensuring reliability, performance, and strong security practices. Experience with Databricks, query optimization, and performance tuning is also highly valued.The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in distributed teams. They must have solid ownership of their projects and be able to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.Requirements:5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or closely related rolesHands-on experience with Databricks for large-scale transformationsAdvanced expertise with SQL databases including query optimization and performance tuningStrong experience delivering analytics with Power BI (datasets, data models, DAX, security)Practical Azure DevOps experience (Git, Repos, Pipelines) for CI/CD of data solutionsOracle experience (PL/SQL, data extraction and integration) in hybrid/cloud data architecturesSolid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT design patternsProficiency in at least one scripting/programming language commonly used in data engineeringExcellent ownership, communication, and collaboration skills in distributed teamsNice to Have Skills & Experience:Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines and governance at scaleFamiliarity with Application Insights telemetry, Log Analytics, and end-to-end observability for data workloadsData quality tooling and experience with metadata/catalog solutionsBackground in optimizing cost on Azure (storage tiers, pipeline orchestration strategies, caching)
