We seek a dynamic and experienced Manager, Event Listings to oversee and manage a team responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and promoting event listings on our platform. This role requires strong leadership and strategic acumen to drive the performance and growth of the event-listing property. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in business listings or related domains and will work closely with the CEO, VP, and cross-functional teams to align the event listing strategy with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to enhance the platform's event listings and expand its reach and engagement.
  • Align team goals with business objectives and ensure seamless collaboration across departments.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Assistant Managers and other personnel handling event listings.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and drive professional development to achieve high-quality deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as a key liaison between the CEO, VP, and other stakeholders to report progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and technology teams to implement innovative features and promotional campaigns.
  • Partnership Development:
  • Identify and onboard strategic event organizers and partners, negotiating contracts to secure high-value listings.
  • Build long-term relationships to strengthen the platform's position in the events domain.
  • Data-Driven Optimization:
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data insights to refine content strategies, improve user engagement, and maximize ROI.
  • Market and Industry Insight:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and audience preferences.
  • Provide recommendations to ensure the platform remains competitive and relevant in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8-10 years in business listings, event management, or related fields, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate teams to meet and exceed objectives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business listings and event marketplace dynamics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in content management systems (CMS), data analytics tools, and marketing platforms.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the bigger picture while managing day-to-day operational details.
