Chef De Partie Role SummaryThis is a senior kitchen position that requires leadership and management expertise.Directs, coaches, supports, supervises, and evaluates direct reports in collaboration with the Sous Chef.Must have exceptional culinary knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of gastronomic terms.Prepares company recipes by maintaining quality and consistency in taste as per corporate office guidelines.Key Financial Responsibilities:Responsible for effective cost management through proper use, handling, and maintenance of records, reports, supplies, and equipment.Identifies potential expense reduction opportunities through cost control measures.Reviews timesheets and forwards them to the Executive Chef for approval.Motivational Responsibilities:Monitors and manages workstation functions assigned to staff.Assigns duties and responsibilities to team members effectively.Ensures high-quality standards and service are met through observation and evaluation of staff and work procedures.Minimum 8 years' experience in upscale hotels, resorts, cruise ships, or convention banqueting services.At least 2 years as a Chef de Partie (shipboard experience preferred).A culinary school degree is required.
