What You'll Do:


  • Demonstrate expertise in Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
  • Act as a hands-on developer, proficient in programming languages such as Scala or Java
  • Design and develop database models, with experience in working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Utilize scripting languages like Shell or Python for automation and data manipulation tasks.
  • Leverage orchestration tools such as Airflow or Oozie to manage data workflows (a plus).
  • Work with table formats such as Delta or Iceberg (nice to have).
  • Utilize version control systems like Git and build tools like Maven for development and collaboration.


Expertise You'll Bring:


  • Expertise in distributed computing and data frameworks, particularly Apache Spark.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Java or Scala development.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, modeling, and working (SQL) and (NoSQL) databases.
  • Experience with big data platforms like Cloudera is preferred.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Oozie is a value-add.
  • Working knowledge of version control and build tools such as Git and Maven.
  • Knowledge of modern table formats like Delta or Iceberg.
  • A combination of software development and data engineering experience is a strong advantage.
