About the Position:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Database Administrator to lead our database team as we evolve our hybrid data platform spanning traditional RDBMS, search engines and emerging vector databases.This is a critical role that involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's critical database systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance.The selected candidate will have a strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.They will also possess expertise in database management, optimization techniques, and query tuning.A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, along with at least 8-10 years of experience in database administration roles.Familiarity with cloud-based database services, such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database, is also desirable.The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, as well as outstanding communication and leadership abilities.They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly through various channels.This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can drive our data infrastructure forward.
