Battery Systems EngineerWe are seeking a skilled Battery Systems Engineer to support the design, testing, and maintenance of lithium-ion battery packs for electric motorcycles. This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in EV battery systems and learn from senior engineers in a fast-growing environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Conducting BMS firmware testing and processing field data analysis.Assisting in the assembly and disassembly of battery modules and packs.Performing basic electrical and mechanical testing of battery components.SUPPORTING Battery validation and testing activities, including charge/discharge cycles and thermal monitoring.Maintaining accurate records of tests, measurements, and observations.Assisting in troubleshooting field and lab battery issues under guidance.FOLLOWING safety protocols & best practices for handling high-voltage battery systems.Collaborating with engineers and technicians to implement improvements in battery handling and testing procedures.SUPPORTING inventory and management of battery components and tools.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team driving the energy transition and democratizing the benefits across Africa, India, and Latin America. With a focus on East Africa as a starting point, we are building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle and associated battery swap network to drive a better experience for our customers.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical circuits, measurements, and safety protocols, as well as a hands-on mindset with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
