Desktop Engineering Support RoleWe are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join our team, responsible for optimizing end-user experience by investigating systemic issues and implementing solutions to increase productivity.This role will focus on collaborating with business partners to understand needs and pain points that impact productivity, specifically during device migration due to Merger and Acquisition activity.Troubleshoot desktop-related issues efficiently through advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Enhance user productivity and satisfaction using Desktop Experience (DEX) expertise.Develop automation scripts to streamline desktop management tasks.Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration and support of desktop systems.Mandatory Skills:Please note that the following skills are required for this position:7-10 years of experience in Windows desktop engineering or a related field.Subject matter expert in Windows OS internals, including kernel, registry, services, drivers, etc.Working knowledge of OS-level troubleshooting tools and Unified Endpoint Management tool for managing domain and Entra Windows devices.Preferred Qualifications:We prefer candidates with the following skills:Strong background in Desktop Experience (DEX) tools to measure endpoint performance, correlate issues with changes, and user experience optimization.Knowledge of operating system level logging.Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and resolution.Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
