Chief Technology OfficerBlitz is an applied-AI venture studio that transforms domain inefficiencies into deployable, IP-protected solutions. Our portfolio spans three key areas: Skilling, Consulting, and Patent-driven products.The RoleAs a Chief Technology Officer, you will lead the technology and intellectual property layer across our emerging product portfolio, encompassing SaaS automation, skilling, and training. This is not a traditional developer role, but rather a build-to-own position where you will design systems that are technically sound, patent-ready, and commercially deployable.You will collaborate closely with the founder to take ideas from the whiteboard to working products and from proof-of-concept to real-world enterprise production scale.Develop end-to-end architectures, engineering, and technical due diligence for all patent-backed products.Supervise prototype builds (internal or partner teams) across AI, data, and cloud stacks.Create shared technology frameworks, documentation, and DevOps best practices across the Blitz portfolio.Engage with patent attorneys for technical drafting and claims clarity.Contribute to Blitz's thought leadership and investor communication on technology differentiation; represent the company in investor and client discussions.RequirementsA PhD is preferred but not mandatory, while an advanced degree, M.Tech/M.S., or equivalent industry experience is accepted.Demonstrate a proven track record of excellence in your area of expertise.Exhibit complete fluency with machine learning, deep learning, general AI, and agentic AI.10-15 years of experience in data, AI, product, or software engineering (with at least 5 years in a startup environment).Proven record of shipping MVPs or leading small engineering pods.Hands-on experience with at least two cloud platforms and proficiency in one (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Fluency in Python (APIs, data, automation), and expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow (with ability to operationalize open-source AI tools).Experience in system design and early-stage product development.Ability to lead small distributed freelancer pods.Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and API-based architecture.Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Exposure to IP creation, with a patent highly desirable.Engagement ModelFlexible, remote work arrangement with approximately 10 hours per week to start.No fixed remuneration, with equity, patent co-inventorship, and brand visibility within the Blitz ecosystem offered as incentives.Regular reviews to ensure alignment, engagement, and focus.Equity Pool - Up to 2% - milestone linked (prototype to patent to MVP to funding)
