Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled data engineer to drive the development and implementation of cloud-based data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in GCP, especially with BigQuery and Airflow, as well as strong SQL and Python skills.This role involves technical requirements gathering and development of functional specifications, analysis of various development alternatives for applications and information systems, code development in the area of data management – cloud, data integration, analytics & reporting, and supporting junior developers and providing team leadership/mentorship.Technical Requirements Gathering and Development of Functional Specifications.Analysis on Various Development Alternatives for Applications, Information Systems, and Modules.Code Development in the Area of Data Management – Cloud, Data Integration, Analytics & Reporting.Supporting Junior Developers and Providing Team Leadership/Mentorship.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Gathering and developing technical requirements and functional specifications for data engineering projects.Analyzing various development alternatives for applications and information systems to determine the best approach.Developing high-quality code in the area of data management – cloud, data integration, analytics & reporting.Supporting junior developers and providing team leadership/mentorship to ensure the success of data engineering projects.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in GCP, especially BigQuery and DataProc.Proficient in SQL, Python, and PySpark.Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams.A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on delivering solutions.BenefitsThe successful candidate can expect:A competitive salary and benefits package.Ongoing training and development opportunities.The chance to work on exciting and challenging data engineering projects.
