Financial Market Writer RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and flexible U.S. Financial Market Writer to join our dynamic team.This role involves writing accurate, timely, and engaging market updates focused on U.S. financial markets, covering equities, economy, commodities, forex, and macroeconomic developments.You will analyze and interpret key U.S. economic data, including inflation releases, labor market indicators, and other high-impact reports that drive market sentiment.Providing clear and concise coverage of Federal Reserve policy, including FOMC meetings, speeches, minutes, and their implications for markets is another key responsibility.You will research and synthesize information from credible sources, such as press releases, SEC filings, earnings reports, economic data, and sell-side research.Collaborating closely with editors to ensure analytical accuracy, strong narrative flow, and alignment with editorial standards and deadlines is crucial in this role.You will also use AI tools to streamline workflows while ensuring all published content reflects human insight, judgment, and journalistic quality.What We're Looking For:A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial journalism or markets-focused writing, ideally covering U.S. equities and macroeconomics; preferably within fast-paced newsrooms covering U.S. markets.Native-level English proficiency with exceptional writing, editing, and headline-crafting abilities is essential.You must have a deep understanding of U.S. financial markets, including equities, bonds, commodities, FX, and the broader macro landscape.A track record of breaking news and building trusted, high-level sources is required.Strong grasp of Federal Reserve policy, FOMC communication, and how economic data influences market pricing is necessary.You should be able to translate complex market developments, data releases, and policy shifts into clear, engaging narratives.Sharp analytical skills and a rigorous approach to accuracy, sourcing, and fact-checking are vital.Availability to work U.S. market hours (8 AM ET-5 PM ET) and willingness to work outside of these hours to cover major market developments are expected.Familiarity with AI tools as part of the content workflow, while maintaining human judgment and editorial quality is preferred.Ability to collaborate seamlessly with editors and cross-functional teams is essential.Competence in using market data platforms, economic calendars, and basic analytical tools to support reporting is required.Initiative-based approach to cover market moving developments is necessary.What We Offer:A challenging assignment in a global environment.Excellent benefits and a high-energy work environment.About Us:We are one of the top two global financial websites, covering over 300,000 financial instruments and reaching 60 million monthly unique visitors.
