Snowflake Administration RoleAs a Snowflake Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, optimization, and security of our Snowflake data platform.Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure secure access controls.Data Platform GovernanceConfigure warehouse settings, databases, schemas, stages, file formats, and pipes to optimize performance.Oversee account-level settings, parameter configurations, and global policies to maintain data integrity.User, Role & Access ManagementCreate, modify, and manage users, roles, and permissions following best practices.Implement and maintain secure access controls aligned with data governance policies.Security FeaturesImplement masking policies, row-access policies, encryption, OAuth, SSO & MFA to safeguard data.Ensure compliance with company and industry security standards.Performance OptimizationMonitor query performance and troubleshoot slow-running queries.Optimize virtual warehouse sizes, auto-suspend, and auto-resume settings to improve efficiency.Data Pipeline SupportWork closely with data engineers to support Snowpipe configurations, streams, tasks, internal and external stages (S3, Azure Blob, GCS), ETL/ELT integrations, and resolve load failures.Cost ManagementTrack and optimize compute and storage costs to maximize ROI.Implement usage monitoring dashboards and alerts to inform strategic decisions.Maintenance & MonitoringDaily monitoring of Snowflake logs, warehouse consumption, and system health.Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with the engineering team for resolutions.Required Skills & Experience3–7+ years of experience working with Snowflake as an administrator or platform engineer.Strong knowledge of Snowflake RBAC, security policies, and platform configuration.Solid experience in SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
