Job Title: Senior Accountant

Experience: 4-7 years

Location: Bengaluru

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Finance Head


Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, specifically in GST filing, and will be responsible for managing financial reports, records, and general ledger. This role is critical in ensuring our financial accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • GST Filing: Manage and ensure accurate and timely GST filing and compliance.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including GST, tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. AI knowledge is higher advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role. Must have experience in GST filing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Kannada, Hindi.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity: High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
