Job Opportunity:The Loan Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth origination of mortgages. Key responsibilities include maintaining an up-to-date understanding of US mortgage originations, closing procedures, and federal/state lending laws. This includes having a solid grasp of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP), as well as comprehensive knowledge of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac Guidelines.Responsibilities:Review loan files for compliance with regulatory and client guidelines/overlays.Analyze income and employment data, credit strength, capacity to repay, property appraisal, and title report.Calculate and analyze LTV/CLTV/HCLTV/DTI/HTI ratios and assess other relevant factors.Make informed decisions based on analysis and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.Daily audits from a closing and compliance standpoint are also expected.Requirements:Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.Proficiency in using Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP).Comprehensive knowledge of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac Guidelines.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ideal Candidate:We seek an individual with a solid background in loan analysis and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.
