About the Role
The Magento Technical Lead is a senior development/supervisory position and supervises the day-to-day activity of the development team and functions as a project team's most senior applications engineer. The role will partner functionally within project teams, working under the direction of the Technical Architect, and the Project Manager. The Teach Lead can be involved in sprint planning, running daily scrums, performing code reviews, and communicating with team members on both progress and roadblocks.
Key Responsibilities
● Work with architects to design, develop and implement Magento ecosystem commerce solutions
● Lead Magento ecosystem development team in all development related project related activities
● Integrate with major external systems including ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateway system, middleware, and other systems as required by project scope
● Participation in requirements and solution evaluation & review
● Evaluating 1st and 3rd party data integration, technology vendor requirements, and participating in developing integration strategies for the platform
● Assist with preparation of technical communication and documentation
● Work closely with other roles to create and improve standardized processes and solutions
● Keep up to date with all industry changes and latest methodology within the commerce industry
● Good experience on Magento2 commerce development (understand and follow the coding standards

Preferred Skills
● General knowledge of the Magento ecosystem including MCC, MOM, MBI, Magento
Shipping and Social – Specific experience in the above is a plus
● Has an understanding and the ability to function in the Magento ecosystem
● Understand and able to articulate the omni-channel end to end commerce value proposition
● Strong integration and architectural knowledge of the Magento platform
● Expert PHP and Object-Oriented Programming skills
● Experience working with the Magento Commerce database and use of the Magento data layer
● Has leveraged open source LAMP/LEMP stack, particularly PHP and MySQL, and the use of creation of third-party libraries and frameworks
● Working knowledge of server level infrastructure as applied to Magento Commerce builds including installation/configuration of Apache2, NGINX, Varnish, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and associated prerequisites
● Familiarity with the following: JavaScript, HTML5, XML/ XSL, SOAP, REST, AJAX, CSS3
● Strong understanding of Design Patterns
● Good team player who can work with people of all levels / backgrounds
● Working knowledge shopping cart development with shipping, payment gateway integration for eCommerce websites
● Comfortable working with a wide variety of APIs including building of custom endpoints
