THE ROLE

As a Lead QA Engineer, you are joining a multidisciplinary team of engineers who create digital products that thousands of people experience every day. We are seeking a creative, hands-on, talented QA engineer to be a member of the 7-Eleven Global platform team.

Responsibilities

- Involve in Design, implementation and plan for automation testing and documentation.
- Responsible for products end to end testing methodology and following best practices.
- Hands-on test automation suite development for the product features and services.
- Responsible for assessing bugs priority & severity, effectively sharing with stakeholders.
- Interact with Product Management and Business Teams to understand their requirements, set priorities and deliver quality products.
- Come up with test plans, test cases and automation suites to various products and share test results.
- Align closely with development team, assist and improve product quality time to time.
- You will work with engineering & user experience teams for design and technical feasibility discussions.
- Passion to learn new technologies and ability to quickly adapt to change.

Required Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in manual and automation testing frameworks of highly -scalable applications and platform development.
- 6+ years of experience automating the API/ functional tests, end-to-end tests.
- Strong knowledge and a deep understanding of testing RESTful APIs including Authentication & Authorization, API responses.
- Hands-on experience implementing and automating functional test script/suite using tools/frameworks like Postman, REST Assured.
- Hands-on experience implementing test automation using languages like Java, JavaScript, Python on tools like Jest, Appium, Selenium, TestNG, Cypress.
- Decent knowledge of JavaScript/Node JS.
- Perform load testing via JMeter or K6.
- Experience in creating test plans, test cases, test suites and reports using test management tool.
- Database knowledge to run queries and validate test results.
- Should be able to analyse logs and find the root cause rather than just raising issue.
- Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) Methodologies.
- Experience with CICD pipelines.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills including negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills, ability to influence, prioritize and persuade without direct control.
- Good working knowledge of automating end-to-end integration testing.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools - Git (Gitlab), Jira and Confluence.
- Exposure to retail industry, experience with e-commerce applications.
- Knowledge on cloud-based solutions and platforms, preferred AWS.
