Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Engineer with strong expertise in long-range communication systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with embedded systems design and development, particularly with STM32 microcontrollers. They will also be adept at integrating long-range communication protocols into embedded solutions for advanced autonomous systems such as UGVs and UAVs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize embedded systems for real-time applications using STM32 microcontrollers.
Integrate long-range communication solutions (RF, 4G/5G, UHF/VHF,SATCOM, 5G/4G LTE, MIMO etc.) into embedded platforms for autonomous vehicles and remote systems.
Develop firmware for STM32 devices, ensuring robust, low-latency communication across multiple platforms.
Conduct system-level debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization for embedded software and hardware.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, and communication experts, to develop end-to-end solutions.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system validation of embedded systems to ensure functionality and reliability under harsh conditions.
Stay updated on the latest developments in embedded systems, communication protocols, and low-power design for autonomous systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3-5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
Proficiency with STM32 microcontrollers and their peripheral systems.
Strong understanding of long-range communication systems such as LoRa, RF, 4G/5G, UHF, VHF, and SATCOM.
Expertise in C/C++ programming for embedded systems and experience with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems).
Experience in communication protocols like CAN, I2C, SPI, UART.
Knowledge of telemetry systems, data transmission, and wireless communication protocols.
Ability to perform hardware-software integration, including reading schematics, working with sensors, and troubleshooting embedded hardware.
Familiarity with low-power design techniques and battery management systems (BMS).
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for embedded design and simulation is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of encryption and security protocols in communication systems.
Experience in teleoperation and fault-tolerant communication systems for autonomous vehicles.
Hands-on experience with spectrum analysis, signal propagation, and antenna design.
