Senior SolarWinds Automation EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our SolarWinds platform optimization and automation efforts.Job Description:The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the SolarWinds Orion suite, with expertise in maintenance, troubleshooting, and PowerShell development.This role plays a critical part in ensuring observability, performance monitoring, and automation across our global infrastructure.Main Responsibilities:Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as:Node onboarding/offboardingAlert suppression or muting during maintenance windowsCustom alert/report generation and distribution to SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancementsImplement custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Maintain security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.Contribute to and maintain Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.
