Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the SolarWinds Orion suite, with experience in maintaining and troubleshooting the platform as well as PowerShell Development.Maintain and administer the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Develop and maintain custom scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as:Node onboarding/offboarding processesalert suppression or muting during maintenance windowscustom alert/report generation and distribution via SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancementsImplement monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Design and optimize queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Maintain the security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.Contribute to and maintain Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and collaboration abilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolarWinds products, PowerShell, and other technologies mentioned above.
