Legal Compliance & Public Affairs RoleWe are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh India Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd. This role will be based in Mumbai. It is a hybrid position that requires working at least three days a week in the office.Vice President /Assistant Vice President – Legal Compliance The job entails supporting the implementation and oversight of the organization's compliance framework across multiple business units. You will ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory obligations, and ethical standards, while partnering with business teams to foster a culture of compliance and integrity.Your Key Responsibilities:Assists a more senior Compliance role with the development of policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and changes in market conditions in area of responsibility.Implement and maintain the compliance framework, policies, and procedures in line with global and local regulatory requirements.Handles complex specialized compliance routines, such as licensing, monitoring, research, training and awareness, data compilation and synopsis, report drafting, performance monitoring or assessment and task management for assigned area, country or geography.Conduct regular reviews and monitoring of business activities to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.Support periodic internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance testing programs.Formulate responses which may include responses to regulators and other supervisory entities.Provide compliance advisory support to business functions on applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks; update internal stakeholders on relevant changes and impact assessments.Initiate compliance initiatives and respond to questions from business colleagues on the application of Compliance programs.
