We are now looking for an experienced and creative Head of Textile Design to lead our design team and drive our product development forward.


Job Summary

As the Head of Textile Design, you will lead the creative direction and oversee the development of new collections for V-Weave. This is a pivotal role that blends artistic vision with strategic insight, helping us maintain our tradition of exceptional quality while pushing boundaries in textile innovation. You will mentor and manage a team of designers, ensuring alignment with V-Weave’s brand and values, and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to market.


Key Responsibilities


• Leadership & Strategy: Lead the design team with a clear vision, driving the development of unique, cohesive collections aligned with our brand’s aesthetic and goals.

• Product Development: Oversee the design and development process from concept to final product, including color selection, material choices, and weaving techniques.

• Trend Analysis: Stay updated on global and industry trends to inspire innovative and contemporary designs while maintaining V-Weave’s traditional artistry.

• Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet market demands and operational feasibility.

• Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor and inspire the design team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that encourages creativity and growth.

• Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship are met in every design piece, maintaining the premium standard V-Weave is known for.

• Client Engagement: Partner with clients to customize designs, understanding their needs and translating them into compelling design concepts.


Qualifications


• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in textile design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record of leading successful design projects and managing design teams.

• Strong understanding of traditional weaving techniques

• Excellent eye for detail and a strong sense of color, texture, and material.

• Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, etc.).

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide creative talent.
