With a commitment to long-term success, they empower clients and society to move confidently into the digital future.Job DescriptionMust Have Skills:Strong experience in DB2 LUW and DB2 z/OS administrationMandatory: Secondary skill as Netezza DBABackup & recovery using tools such as TSM, NetBackupPerformance tuning & query optimizationTroubleshooting DB2 errors, performance issues & connectivity problemsApplying fix packs, patches, version upgradesUser access & security managementExperience with monitoring tools (IBM Data Studio, OEM, Nagios)Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of hands-on DB2 administration experienceStrong understanding of database backup/restore, performance tuning, and troubleshootingExperience managing both on-premises DB2 LUW & z/OS environmentsKnowledge of Netezza database management (mandatory)Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):Shell scripting / automation using Bash or PythonExperience with HADR, Q-replicationUnderstanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem)Exposure to Cloud DB services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)Basic understanding of other RDBMS: Oracle, SQL ServerExperience in 24×7 production support environmentsResponsibilities:Perform day-to-day administration of DB2 LUW, DB2 z/OS, and NetezzaImplement and maintain backup & recovery strategiesExecute performance tuning, query optimization, and system health checksPerform DB2 upgrades, patches, and fix pack installationsTroubleshoot database-related issues and ensure minimal downtimeManage database security, user access & auditingCreate automation scripts for recurring DBA tasksCollaborate with cross-functional teams for production support and change managementMonitor DB environments using standard tools and respond to alertsMaintain documentation of system configurations, SOPs, and best practicesImportant Note (Please Read Before Applying)🚫 Do NOT apply if:You have less than 5 year or more than 12 years of experienceYou do not have DB2 LUW & z/OS administration experienceYou do not have Netezza experience (mandatory)You are on a notice period longer than 15 daysYou are not open to 24×7 shiftsYou are looking for a hybrid/remote-only role (this role is onsite in Bangalore)You do not meet the mandatory technical skills listed✅ Apply ONLY if you meet ALL criteria above.
