You will work on three major initiatives: 1. Storage Reallocation: Optimize storage to improve system performance and prevent slow SQL queries. 2. IDAA Loader Upgrade: Update the data loader for better efficiency and compatibility. 3. IDAA Maintenance Upgrade: Perform maintenance upgrades to ensure stability and security. Key Responsibilities: 1.System Installation & Management : Install, configure, and troubleshoot IDAA. Use tools such as : GUI Management Console Data Studio Admin Services 2.Integrated Data Sync: Install, configure, and maintain data synchronization between Db2 and IDAA. Troubleshoot sync-related issues. 3. IDAA Loader Expertise: Handle the installation, setup, and maintenance of the IDAA Loader. 4. Administration Using Putty/USS: Perform system administration tasks using Putty and Unix System Services (USS). Required Skills : Strong experience with IDAA installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Expertise in Integrated Sync and Loader management Familiarity with Putty and Unix System Services (USS) for system administration A "DB2 specialist with IDAA skills" refers to a database administrator (DBA) who is highly proficient in managing IBM DB2 databases , with specific expertise in utilizing the "IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator" (IDAA) feature to significantly improve the performance of complex, large-scale queries on mainframe systems. Key points about a DB2 specialist with IDAA skills: Deep DB2 knowledge: They possess a thorough understanding of DB2 database administration tasks like creating tables, indexes, managing storage, optimizing queries, and ensuring data integrity. IDAA expertise: They are well-versed in configuring and managing IDAA, including setting up data partitions, optimizing query plans for accelerated processing, and monitoring IDAA performance Mainframe environment: Typically work within a mainframe operating system (like z/OS) where IDAA is primarily used Performance optimization focus: Their primary role is to identify and address performance bottlenecks in complex queries by leveraging IDAA's capabilities to drastically reduce query execution time Typical responsibilities of a DB2 specialist with IDAA skills Data analysis and modeling: Identifying large datasets suitable for acceleration with IDAA IDAA configuration: Setting up data partitions, defining query acceleration strategies, and managing IDAA resources Query optimization: Tuning complex SQL queries to efficiently utilize IDAA capabilities.
