Financial System Configuration Expert

Finance Process Optimization SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced finance process optimization specialist to lead and support financial system configuration, end-user enablement, and process improvements.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze finance process requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Configure and maintain Oracle Financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Tax Management, to optimize financial processes and reduce manual effort.Map business processes for procurement, order-to-cash, and returns-to-restaurant cycles to Oracle functionalities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.Develop functional specification documents, business requirement documents, and configuration workbooks to ensure clear communication and understanding among team members and stakeholders.Lead data conversions, mappings, and future upgrades, owning all finance-related objects for opening balances, AP/AR transactions, and assets, and managing the implementation of new features and functionalities.Coordinate with technical teams on integrations, conduct system testing, and support user acceptance testing to ensure seamless system performance and quality deliverables.Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues; manage Oracle SRs for defect resolution, prioritizing quick turnarounds and effective issue management.Provide end-user training and create process documentation, ensuring users understand and can effectively utilize system functionalities and financial processes.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.Develop and execute test plans to ensure quality deliverables, verifying system functionality and process efficiency before implementation.Decent understanding of revenue accounting principles, ASC 606, and ASC 842, is required.Manage Oracle SRs for defect resolution with quick turnarounds, providing efficient issue resolution and minimizing downtime.Design and implement approval workflows for finance transactions, streamlining financial processes and improving operational efficiency.Assist in financial reporting setup and advise on system best practices to optimize financial processes and reduce manual effort, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Perform impact analysis for new releases, patches, and enhancements, evaluating system changes and their effects on financial processes and operations.Participate in project planning, estimations, timelines, and deliverables tracking, contributing to project success and effective resource allocation.Ensure SOX compliance and other regulatory standards in system setup, maintaining a high level of governance and risk management.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for financial systems, driving innovation and operational excellence.Requirements:7+ years of experience as an Oracle Functional Finance Consultant (Fusion or EBS).Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP/IFRS).Hands-on experience configuring GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Credit Management, and Tax modules.Experience with financial reporting tools (FRS, OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View).Understanding of financial integrations with third-party systems.Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Team Player working with all internal and external stakeholders, including vendor partners.Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Oracle Financials Cloud Certification.Experience working for Leasing, Retail, and related industries.Exposure to Revenue Recognition principles, integrations with 3rd parties, and related reconciliations.CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification.
