Job Title: ILM/Archiving Solution Architect.Location: Pan IndiaYears of Experience: 6-10 Years SAP - ILM Archiving Technical: Archiving Object Configuration – Analysis of Archiving object – Residence Period and Retention Period –Issues faced during Archiving Document Archiving & configurations –Familiar with ILM PBS knowledge : Functional and Technical Objects S/4 Hana knowledge : ACDOCA COMPRESSION : Communication – Person should have S4 HANA and HANA archiving experience.Job Summary: The ILM/Archiving Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and data archiving strategies across complex SAP landscapes. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP Data Volume Management (DVM), hands on experience with ILM components, and a strong understanding of compliance, retention, and system decommissioning practices. Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of ILM Retention Management strategies, including Legal Hold, Case Management, and ILM Blocking. Execute system decommissioning projects, ensuring compliance with data retention and audit requirements. Analyze and mitigate the impact of archiving on business processes and system performance. Implement both standard and custom archive objects, including purging and hybrid DVM solutions for technical and staging tables. Manage archive metadata and ADK file handling, ensuring integrity and accessibility. Conduct system assessments to identify DVM opportunities and define archiving strategies. Troubleshoot archiving issues and provide solutions for open item closures. Integrate Nearline Storage (SAP IQ) with archive servers and SAP systems, including administration and support. Utilize PBS tools such as NAA, Archive Add on, and Content Link for enhanced archiving capabilities. Prior implementation experience with SAP ILM Legal Hold, Case Management, and ILM Blocking in S/4HANA environments. Good experience in SAP Data Volume Management (DVM), including at least 1 year in an S/4HANA environment. Mandatory Skills: Proven experience in SAP ILM Data Archiving. Deep technical expertise in SAP DVM. Hands on experience with ILM components. Strong understanding of compliance, retention, and system decommissioning practices. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SAP RISE Clean core methodology. Experience integrating SAP with external content and archive servers. Hands on experience with document archiving scenarios and content server migrations. Familiarity with SAP NSE (Native Storage Extension) and data aging strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 10 years of relevant experience in SAP ILM and data archiving. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
