Associate Director/Director of Product Management

Company Overview:Battery Smart is India's largest and fastest-growing Battery Swapping Network for electric two and three-wheelers. Launched in June 2020, we aim to revolutionize the EV sector by making electric mobility simple, economical, and accessible through a unique partner-led model.We seek a highly skilled Director of Product Management to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing and managing multiple products, contribute to the growth of the company and help in enhancing the adoption of electric vehicles throughout the country.Role Overview:In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product development and strategy for our inventory operations, infrastructure and business pods and assisting in the execution of the complete product lifecycle for multiple product lines.You will be solving complex problems in lead and task management, manpower efficiency, asset pilferage, finance and identity compliance among other domains. You will be responsible for building our internal apps and tools for workforce productivity and reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address the unique challenges faced in the EV space in the country. You will mentor and grow a team of product managers and provide thought leadership across domains. Your exceptional problem-solving skills, communication skills, and stakeholder management abilities along with developing project plans, running product review meetings, developing product literature, and mentorship will be crucial to driving the success of our product initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Product Strategy: Develop a comprehensive product strategy for our battery swapping business, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify market opportunities, define product requirements, and prioritise features and enhancements based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and industry trends.Product Development: Lead the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, create user stories, and manage the backlog. Monitor progress, address issues, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product development efforts.Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives, investors, and internal teams. Gather feedback, incorporate input, and manage expectations to ensure alignment across the organisation. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for product initiatives.Team Leadership and Mentoring: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of product managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Mentor team members, providing career development support and helping them grow their skills and capabilities.Qualifications and Experience:7-8 years of experience in product management, preferably in a startup environment.B.Tech/BS/ BE degree or equivalent. MBA or post-graduation degree is a plus.Prior experience of managing and growing teams of product managersProven track record of successfully managing end-to-end product development, from ideation to launch, preferably in a technology or software-driven industry.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels.Knowledge and experience in the electric vehicle industry or building task management tools is a big plusJoin our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the EV industry in India.
