As a key member of our organization, you will oversee payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees across multiple states. Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with laws and regulations is crucial to this role.Payroll Processing: You will be responsible for multi-state payroll processing, including reconciliations, submissions, and year-end processes. This will involve coordinating W-2 information and ensuring all tax filings are accurate and submitted on time.Payroll Inquiries: Responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a professional and timely manner is essential. You will also be responsible for maintaining payroll FAQs and providing support to colleagues.Employee Data: You will partner closely with HR to ensure employee data updates related to compensation, benefits, and employment status changes are accurate and up-to-date.Payroll Filings: Preparing, reconciling, and submitting tax filings (941, state/local) and leading year-end processes will be a key responsibility.Additional Responsibilities:Reconcile general ledger entries; support month-end close, financial reporting, and audits by maintaining accurate records and providing necessary documentation.Maintain and audit HR/payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Document payroll procedures for internal controls and audits to maintain a secure and compliant environment.Stay current with employment and payroll laws to ensure company policies remain compliant and effective.Participate in HR projects, including technology implementations and process improvements, to drive business growth and efficiency.Analyze HR/payroll metrics to inform leadership decision-making and drive business outcomes.Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance business performance.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.Required Skills:5+ years of payroll experience with a focus on administration and benefits coordination.Experience managing multi-state payroll in a professional services environment.Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Excel.Excellent communication and analytical skills.Key Performance IndicatorsThe following KPIs will be used to measure your success in this role:Achievement of payroll targets and deadlines.Accuracy and completeness of payroll data.Level of employee satisfaction with payroll services.Compliance with regulatory requirements.
