Job Title: Data Operations SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of data management and operations, with a strong focus on optimizing storage systems for HDFS workloads.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a challenging role that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and optimize PowerScale clusters across multi-protocols environments.In-depth knowledge of SyncIQ (migrations, multi-directional replication, delta transfers, multi-protocol sync), Snapshots & SnapshotIQ.Perform failovers, failbacks, resiliency, and DR testing.Lead cluster lifecycle tasks including node addition, rebalancing, SmartFail, and tech refresh activities.Configure and validate network connectivity (VLANs, LACP, MTU, routing, DNS, NTP) and work with security teams on firewall rules.Handle AD integrations across multi-domain/forest setups, including trusts, ID mapping, and authentication troubleshooting.Optimize PowerScale for HDFS workloads (Hive, Impala, Empower) when required.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.RequirementsStrong ownership and independent working style.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Calmness under pressure and ability to handle multiple priorities.Deep understanding of data management and operations principles.Experience with PowerScale clusters, SyncIQ, Snapshots & SnapshotIQ.Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.Familiarity with AD integrations and identity management.BenefitsThis role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.
