This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on Azure engineering, has a passion for cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and thrives in a customer-facing, consultative environment.You’ll work directly with customers to help them understand, monitor, and optimize their Azure costs and infrastructure, using our FinOps-focused platform. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical delivery, Azure expertise, and cost governance consulting while working closely with product, engineering, and sales teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAzure & FinOps ConsultingProvide expert guidance to customers on:Azure resource provisioning and infrastructure architectureCost optimization best practices and cost-aware architectureFinOps principles and tooling for visibility, accountability, and controlHelp customers use our product to:Track and analyze Azure spendIdentify inefficiencies in infrastructure or pricing tiersImplement governance around budget and usage policiesTechnical Support & TroubleshootingAssist with deployment and configuration of our Azure-based productTroubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure and monitoringSet up Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and diagnostics pipelinesProvide actionable recommendations to improve reliability and cost efficiencyCustomer Enablement & SuccessWork with customers through onboarding, trials, and ongoing supportTranslate customer needs into solution designs using our productContribute to customer training resources, runbooks, and best practice guidesProduct CollaborationWork closely with engineering and product teams to:Share customer feedback and feature requestsAssist with QA or technical validation of new product capabilitiesHelp refine FinOps reporting, dashboards, and recommendationsSales & Pre-sales SupportSupport technical discussions during customer evaluations or trialsProvide demos and walkthroughs showcasing cost optimization featuresAct as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequired Skills & Experience3–5+ years working with Microsoft Azure, including:Infrastructure deployment (VMs, App Services, SQL, Functions)Monitoring with Azure Monitor and Log AnalyticsExposure to Azure governance and cost tools:Azure Cost Management + Azure AdvisorExperience working with customers in a consultative or support roleStrong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsShift timings : 2 pm to 11 pm IST.Preferred / Nice to HaveUnderstanding of FinOps principles and cost allocation modelsAwareness of Azure pricing structures (SKUs, reservations, commitment tiers)Experience with tools such as:Azure Pricing Calculator, Cost Analysis, Budgets, Policy3rd-party cost optimization platforms (CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc.)Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, FinOps Certified Practitioner)Exposure to Azure Integration Services (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid)Equal Opportunities:Kovai.co is committed to building a workforce that reflects the richness of our society.
