Job Title: Senior Financial Manager - Construction AccountingDescription:The senior financial manager will oversee and manage the company's financial accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining fiscal discipline to support project success.This role requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance.Oversee daily accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and ensure timely recording of financial transactions.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Coordinate the construction draw process ensuring timely disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage yearly audit and tax compliance ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for auditors and tax preparers.Establish internal controls to safeguard company assets, control expenses vs budget, and participate in cash management and forecasting.Provide management with vital decision-making information.Oversee property and accounting software usage.Requirements:To be successful in this role you need to have worked in construction accounting/contractor accounting, knowledge of % completion method of accounting, and experience working on project profitability.Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Yardi, the Company's Property and Accounting software, and strong analytical skills.Awarding:Experience with managing teams and leadership skills would be beneficial but not necessary. We are looking for someone who can think critically and solve complex problems.
