Job OverviewThe role of a Senior Financial Analyst involves overseeing and managing all core financial operations, including accounting, billing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and inventory management.Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining accurate estimates, invoices, credit memos, purchase orders, bills, vendor credits, and reconciliations for both vendor and customer accounts.They will also calculate, report, and remit sales taxes and royalties; ensure timely tax filings and documentation for vendors and accountants.Additionally, they will lead monthly financial closing and deliver accurate financial reports within defined timelines.Other responsibilities include performing journal entries, accrual accounting tasks, and supporting external accounting firms for quarterly and annual tax filings.They will monitor company performance, generate assigned financial and operational reports, and provide financial guidance to leadership and coach junior staff on financial data to support better decision-making.The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with US federal and state regulations.Finally, they will participate in ongoing learning pathways to maintain and enhance technical knowledge.RequirementsA strong understanding of QuickBooks Online and Google Suite is required.Familiarity with US GAAP, federal & state tax regulations, and US compliance frameworks is necessary.Experience managing end-to-end accounting cycles, including AR/AP, GL, inventory, and financial reporting, is essential.Familiarity with restaurant/retail-style accounting structures is preferred.
