Job Title: Data Protection OfficerThis role plays a vital part in ensuring our organisation adheres to the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and all applicable privacy regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing data governance across digital platforms, healthcare systems, e-commerce, CRM, and operational applications.The DPO will ensure full compliance with DPDP Act and internal data-privacy policies.Conducting privacy risk assessments, data audits, and maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) are essential tasks.The DPO will review data flows across systems (CRM, SLIMS, D365, Shopify/Magento, mobile apps, websites).This role involves overseeing consent management, data subject rights, and incident response from a privacy standpoint.Collaboration with Tech, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams is crucial to ensure privacy-by-design.The DPO will manage vendor privacy compliance and Data Processing Agreements.Leading training and awareness initiatives for employees and partners is another key responsibility.Requirements:A strong understanding of DPDP Act, GDPR principles, and data-governance frameworks is necessary for this role. Experience with digital/healthcare/CRM/e-commerce platforms is preferred.Certifications such as CIPP/E, DPO Certification, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are a plus.Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills are required.About this role:This role requires a deep understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
