The Strategy Director plays a pivotal role in driving organisational growth by developing, evaluating and executing strategic initiatives.This position requires strong financial acumen, experience in fundraising support, exceptional analytical abilities and the capability to translate insights into actionable plans.The Strategy Director will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams and external partners to identify business opportunities, assess market dynamics and develop strategies that strengthen organisational performance and competitiveness.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Development:Conduct in-depth research and analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, competitive landscape and internal performance.Partner with leadership to define the organisation's strategic direction, vision and long-term goals.Develop data-backed strategies that drive growth, enhance operational efficiency and optimise financial outcomes.Identify potential strategic partnerships, M&A opportunities and new business models to support expansion plans.Continuously monitor regulatory changes, technological advancements and sector developments to ensure strategic alignment.2. Fundraising & Financial Strategy:Support end-to-end fundraising-related activities, including preparation of business plans, pitch decks, financial models and supporting documentation.Conduct financial analysis, forecasting and valuation for new initiatives, partnerships and potential acquisitions.Coordinate with financial institutions, external advisors and internal teams for fundraising processes and documentation.Manage due diligence coordination and ensure seamless flow of information across teams.Provide insights on capital allocation, budgeting and financial viability of strategic initiatives.3. Strategic Planning & Execution:Convert strategic goals into detailed execution plans, KPIs and measurable outcomes.Create project timelines, assign responsibilities and track progress towards key milestones.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, resolve roadblocks and enable smooth execution.Identify risks and dependencies, recommending corrective actions and mitigation strategies.Present progress updates and strategic insights to senior leadership on a regular basis.4. Performance Monitoring & Insights:Track and analyse business performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.Identify gaps, improvement areas and opportunities to enhance efficiency and impact.Prepare clear and compelling dashboards, reports and presentations for leadership and operational teams.Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field; Master's degree preferred (Tier-1 institutions desirable).Proven experience in strategy, corporate finance, fundraising support or management consulting.Strong knowledge of financial modelling, valuation methods, forecasting and business analysis.Exposure to mergers & acquisitions (M&A), due diligence or corporate transactions is a strong plus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Proficiency in analytical tools, financial modelling software, data visualisation platforms and MS Office suite.Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, financial drivers and industry landscapes.
