Neo Prism is committed to fostering professional growth while driving sustained success and innovation for its clients.We’re Hiring for Network Engineer (Cisco ASR 920 and IOS Upgradation Project)Position: Network Engineer / Network Technician / Network SpecialistProject: Cisco ASR 920 and IOS Upgradation Location: GurgaonWork Domain: NOC OperationsContract to Hire roleAdditional remarks:- The candidate should be ready for Night shift.Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to perform a software upgrade on Cisco ASR 920 routers. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and validating the software upgrade to ensure minimal downtime and maintain network performance and security.Key Responsibilities:Plan and coordinate the software upgrade for Cisco ASR 9K routers in alignment with maintenance windows and business requirements.Perform pre-upgrade assessment including backup of current configurations and system images.Download, verify, and install the correct software image on Cisco ASR 9K devices.Execute upgrade procedures following Cisco best practices and internal change management policies.Monitor device performance and network stability post-upgrade to identify and troubleshoot issues.Document the entire upgrade process including steps taken, issues encountered, and resolutions applied.Collaborate with network operations and support teams to ensure seamless transition.Conduct validation tests to confirm successful upgrade and system functionality.Provide post-upgrade support and rollback plans in case of failure.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cisco router software and security patches.Required Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in Cisco router software upgrades, specifically with ASR 9K series or similar platforms.Strong understanding of Cisco IOS-XE software and network protocols.Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools and commands.Experience with network backup and recovery processes.Ability to work under pressure and manage downtime effectively.Strong documentation and communication skills.Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.Knowledge of network security principles and practices.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a service provider or large enterprise network environment.Familiarity with automation and scripting for network upgrades.Knowledge of network monitoring tools.Working Conditions:May require off-hours or weekend work to minimize network disruption.Occasional travel may be necessary to remote sites.Interested can share the resume to karunasree@neoprisminc.com
