Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience, including hands-on experience with the Backbase Digital Banking Platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating innovative banking solutions that enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, focusing on user experience and performance.
  • Integrate with Backbase APIs to deliver seamless banking functionalities, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance and user experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development and digital banking.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Android development.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with the Backbase Digital Banking Platform.
  • Proficient in Java and Kotlin, with a solid understanding of the Android SDK and Android Studio.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Familiarity with modern Android architecture components (MVVM, LiveData, etc.) and design principles.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and experience with tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso) and writing unit/UI tests.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience in banking or financial services application development.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for mobile applications.
