Job Brief:

We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Android Development Intern to join our engineering team. As an Android intern, you will collaborate with our team to build functional and user-friendly Android applications. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Android development and contribute to real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write Clean and Efficient Code: Contribute to writing well-structured, optimized code for Android applications.
  • App Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of live apps and identify opportunities to optimize them at the code level.
  • Bug Fixing & Optimization: Diagnose and fix bottlenecks and bugs, ensuring smooth performance and functionality.
  • Testing & Debugging: Perform unit tests and instrumentation tests to ensure high-quality code and reliability.
  • Feature Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, backend developers, etc.) to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Keep up to date with the latest mobile technology trends, frameworks, and tools to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Java or Kotlin.
  • Basic understanding of Android SDK and Android development tools (e.g., Android Studio).
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and experience working on Android layouts.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with Android applications.
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
  • Experience:
  • 1-2 personal projects or previous internship experience in Android development.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing application performance.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Firebase, Room Database, or commonly used Android libraries.
  • Familiarity with MVVM architecture and Android Jetpack components.
  • Experience with Unit Testing and UI Testing.
