We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code for our Android applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, as well as identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services.Responsibilities:

  • Specification, development, and debugging of the sploot app (Kotlin).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Write decoupled and scalable code.
  • Regularly fix bugs and improve the speed and reliability of the app.
  • Shift old XML code to Jetpack Compose code.


Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack compose, and XML.
  • Good to have experience with location-based applications (Google maps).
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Working experience with REST API integrations and libraries such as Dagger/Hilt, Coroutines, Firebase, Jetpack, etc.
  • Comfortable with Jetpack Compose and have some experience with the same.
  • Experience with MVVM architecture.
  • Understanding and some experience working with Room database & coroutines and android lifecycles.
  • Experience using Retrofit, Glide, ExoPlayer, payment gateways, and other third-party libraries.
  • CameraX knowledge is a plus


Preferred Candidate:

  • Someone who can ship code fast and is willing to find innovative ways to solve a complex problem.
  • Proven experience in Android development (mainly kotlin + jetpack compose) with a portfolio of released applications on the Google Play Store is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Someone who enjoys working on cool project and has ideas.
