Are you an experienced Civil Designer with a passion for civil engineering projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to work on our team. We are seeking individuals with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in land development, residential, commercial and industrial projects that include site servicing, site grading, stormwater management design, construction services, and water resource modeling using HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis.As a Civil Designer, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Project Engineers with the design and drafting of site servicing plans, site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, pre- and post-development drainage plans; calculations for stormwater management, functional servicing, and floodplain cut and fill analysis.Key Responsibilities:· Complete detailed drawings in accordance with local standards and guidelines, and project specifications.· Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, or other computer-assisted design/drafting equipment.· Coordinate project drawings with project engineers, and others.· Ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.· Work under the direction of senior engineers working with the team.· Provide support in the design, drafting, modification, and evaluation of civil engineering for Land Development projects.Required Skills and Qualifications:· A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, preferably from a consulting engineering office environment.· Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or related qualifications.· Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is a mandatory requirement, along with strong computer software skills in MS Word and Excel, and PDF viewer.· Familiarity with various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards and guidelines in Ontario, Canada.· Experience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with Land Development projects, including site servicing, site grading, stormwater management and floodplain management.· Independent, Organized and Motivated Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.· Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced turnaround environment.Benefits:The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
